What a start to my first day in Pasir Laba camp...First I missed the bus-stop and then the next thing I knew is the bus is on the expressway which means I have to alight at somewhere ulu near Tuas.Seeing that I'm late,I took a cab instead of waiting for the bus and guess what,I forgot about the extra $2 charge between 7-9am.Darn!That is still alright...When I reached the camp,I was asked to have a haircut which I did last week but it was deemed to be still too long so another $5 gone.Oh well,luckily the bad things all ended there.
What was to follow was waiting,marching and footdrills under the hot sun.It has been so long since I had drills,feeling rusty and now I feel so tired...
Break tomorrow and hell resumes on Friday...Need some rest...

there's never a right time to say goodbye
An old lady have to fetch water everyday from a well some distant away from her house and she does it by using 2 big pots fixed onto the end on either side of a wooden rod which she then carries it on her shoulder to the well and have the pots filled. However,one of the pots is cracked and will always be only half-filled by the time the old lady reached home.The old lady does this chore for 2 years,always ending up with only 1 and a half pots of water filled without replacing the cracked pot. So one day on the way back the cracked pot can no longer stands its imperfection and decided to speak to the old lady," I'm ashamed of myself,of this crack of mine that causes water to leak." Upon hearing the pot's words,the old lady replied with a little smile on her face,"Have you noticed there are beautiful flowers on your side of the path which we took on the way home after fetching the water but not the other?I have planted seeds on the path on your side so that everyday on the way back you watered them.I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers all because of you!" We are just like the cracked pot.Everyone has their flaw.We have to take people for what they are and look for the good in them...
